Plans for Cole jaws & Steady rest.

I built this plan

would make the following modifications: Only have about 2" base on each side of the rest instead of the HUGElockdown on one side--- two bolts are harder to manipulate, but thetoolrest holder has to have somewhere to go. (BTW I used 1/2" A/Bplywood - reversed in the middle for the ring)Also-- I used skateboard wheels-- Work great-- I DID NOT inset thewheelholders into the ring-- They are better if they can be reversedinto the inside of the ring or moved to the other side One thing I would change-- make a half ring, or 3/4 ring so I wouldnot have to thread the piece through if I had to move the toolrest fromone side to another
