serialized pen kits?

Does anyone know if pen kits exist with serial numbers on them? I know not every type of kit would lend itself to having a number on it but for some types a small engraved number around the band might be ok. Does anyone have any other ideas for serialized pens?

why not just use a diamond scribe and write a number wherever you want it to be?

That might take some practice and then I'd have to work under a microscope.
