ShopSmith Model 10-ER

Can anyone recommend some sources (other than eBay) for parts for my ShopSmith Model 10-ER?

Thanks!

I believe there's a Shopsmith users group on Yahoo. They have (or had - it's been a while) a subgroup dedicated to the 10ER. There also used to be a hardware store in California that specialized in refurbishing the headstock. I think it was called Barrett's hardware. Then, there is a machinist in Nampa, Idaho, who makes handles, way-clamp upgrades, etc. Give "Shopsmith" to the Google engine and these things should pop up.

There is one happy note. A chuck, spur or arbor that attaches to the spindle (quill) of a modern Shopsmith will attach to the spindle of the

10ER. They both have the flattened cylinder.

Good Luck.

Check out this yahoo group. You have to join (doesn't cost) and will be sent an email (if I remember correctly) and then you can access a world of info about these machines. A nice fella named Skip Cambell is the moderator and also produces some parts for the 10 ER Shopsmith. I don't post there much except when I have a tech problem, but that is about all I use in my shop. It has served me well. Lyndell Thompson
