Spindle Screw for Delta LA200?

Aug 09, 2021 Last reply: 4 years ago 5 Replies

I bought a Delta LA200 midi lathe and thought I'd be safe since it was in a sealed and strapped box. But apparently, someone had opened the box and made off with the spindle screw in the tail stock before carefully repacking and restrapping the thing. Every parts site I can find on line says the spindle screw is discontinued and not available. Does anybody know where I might find this part (1342094)?

Thanks...

Update: still looking for a spindle screw for the obsolete Delta LA200, but I noticed that the Delta 46-460 looks identical to the LA200 and I was wondering if the tail stock parts might be interchangeable. Anyone know?

Is this it?

Why would you put a screw in the tailstock?

Look at any schematic for the lathe in question. The spindle screw moves the quill in and out when the tailstock handle is turned.

It looks like it might be what I need. For $14, it's worth a shot. A blessing on your house...
