About making doilies

Here comes a question I=C2=B4m wondering about since long time. Doilies have usually a right and a wrong side... In order to avoid that, did anyone try to turn after each round? And how =

did it come out?

Just wondering...

With the few doilies I have made, I have always done them according to the pattern and was not concerned with there being a right and wrong side. Now it might be more of a concern for something like the basket you made.

But as long you crochet in the riugd, there will be ONE right and One wrong side, I think the problem will be there if you crochet back and forth??? AuD ;-))

Hi Anna Maria,

I've wondered the same thing, since some of my round doilies have a tendancy to warp slightly in a spiral fashion (just like dc (US sc) worked in rounds creeps forward or is it backwards? No example to hand at the moment LOL I intend to make my next one turning for each round to see if it helps.

Hi Anna Maria,

I have never been able to tell which is the right and wrong side and I have a lot of doiles from my grandmothers and my Mom plus the few that I have done and anyone who sees them never says if they are right or not.

Hugs,

Nora
