About the not really 6 x 6's

I agree! The fun is in the exchange and meeting people from all over. My blocks are still in the envelopes they came in with the post cards or whatever that came with them. In a couple of years I'll probably have enough to put them together and I'll also use black yarn like the Friendship blanket we've recently seen. This is my third exchange so I have a bit to go but I'm thoroughly enjoying it! Hazel

I am seeing a lot of affirming notes like this, so I want to mention again that I just love ALL my squares, and I have not missed a month since I discovered this group (and I joined the 6x6 exchange right away). So I hope you are not all reacting to what you think may be disappointment on my part. (I LOVE them.) But I was trying to figure out how to use ALL of them in a sofa quilt, also incorporating multi-colored squares I plan to make from the thread exchanges. And seeing Shelagh's idea, so beautiful, gave me a way of using ALL of them, no matter the size. So I hope all my previous advise on blocking, taking notes, etc., does not give anyone the impression that I am unhappy with all the wonderful gifts I've received from all of you. I have them in a gorgeous stack that keeps getting taller. Cheers, Kira

Hi, Kira! I started inwith the first (august 2003)exchange, and exchanged every month until I HAD to quit (march 2004)due to Don's lymphoma and $$$expenses$$$, but hope to jump in again someday soon. I have quite the hodgepodge of squares collected and love all mine too! Hugs, Noreen
