Created a new cable Maybe?

Apr 02, 2008 5 Replies

I was knitting a hat for charity, and decided to use 8-stitch Plait, page 37 from vol.

3 of the Harmony guides (2004 version)..well there I was, having done the 2
1/2 inches of 2x 2 ribbing, and started the first cable cross, except it called for C4B and I did C4F, but didn't notice that I had done so until I was on the 4th one! Decided that I wasn't going to undo all the cabling..so just continued on..switching the C4B on 4th row to C4F and rows 6 & 8 from C4F to C4B..doesn't look like the picture but still like it..the hat will keep some child's head warm later this year.

Now back to work on the modelstitching..sure wish someone would pay me for sitting around reading, while out on my porch swing in the sun.

Thank you Olwyn Mary i thought so , but wasn`t sure. Making cables and Braids always involved moving some st either in front or back of the main body of work. If you use them opposite each other you may have braids , Last year i tried to knit a piece that will have braids on both sides of the knitting ,,,,and give the impression that is in One pattern ,,, mirjam

it and doesn't put it back when she's done..Need to find it and then hide it somewhere she can't find it so she doesn't take it on her 6th grade trip to Chicago!
