I think the only thing I have done that qualifies is embroidery with colored wool yarn on my felted slippers (courtesy of Aud's patter and picture example) I have noticed that several illustrations on patterns I have considered feature crocheted flowers as embelishment and the fingerless gloves I am thinking of making are embellished with beads. I haven't made them, though. I liked making the felted purse for my sister's Christmas present and her daughters' thought they would like some - those would tend to lend themselves to some embellishment. Hmm. Let us know what you are using - I may get inspired.

So far, I have only sewn beads on after I completed a beach bag and a purse. It was fun and did make each look like "my own" Ohm and I think I did a crocheted flower to add to a purse as well. I would like to try crocheting with beads someday.

I use a lot of embroidery on different things: clothing, handbags, household items. I also love beads, fringes and beaded fringes. Sometimes I will make a bag to carry my projects in and use embroidery, making pictures and words and add a beaded fringe around the top or bottom. I've done a number of tee shirts with embroidery and a beaded or pailette fringe around the edges of the short sleeves. I love fringes on scarves and ponchos and sometimes around the bottom or the yoke of sweaters. I must have been a magpie in a previous life LOL. Marie and the cats

JCT !!! I use beads, buttons , other colored threads [than the basic] , old crocheted /knitted parts that i zigzaged around by sewinf machine , Cut out patterns of animals, flowers etc,, from Fabrics with patterns, ribbons , little charms ,, The `hooks` of the Tin drinks and cat food.

After opening the tin, put a hand on the side opposite the Hook , and Turn the hook twice , it loosens off easily and can be sewn onto everything. every kind of hanging item from plastic , tin that hangs on anything i buy ,,, A friend of mine uses every metal bottle top , i use threader after they can`t thread anymore , i cut of the little part of the thread and used the part with the Lady`s head as i would a coin, only it is easier to sew ,,, old Jeans pockets , some of my friends cut off the tags inside Ready made clothes and use those ,,,, anything you fancy goes ,,,,, mirjam
