Yesterady i walked midtown shops [ the part that turned Shuk =one big market ] with my aquaintance ,,,, we looked into gadget shops ,, prices for things we looked at ranged from 2 Shekels , [1/5 of 1$] to

20 -25 for the SAME ITEM .... the variety of THINGS [ sorry have no other term] that you can buy now and add to your knittings , [ and in fact in shops that sell some sweaters , boots , and bags and prestend to be a High trendy Boutique] , All those items are decorated with some of those Things you can get at the other shops for much ,ower prices ,,, and just add to your knittings [ with your own version]. I have found long ago that buying stroings of beads , is much cheaper that buying them loose in a bag ,, Earings [ esp the trendy mass produced ones are cheaper to buy at the street vendors , taken apart and used in my art , than buying the componnents . separately ... i have no answer to this mystery. Any way Adorn your knittings ,,,, it i the TREND ,,,, mirjam

When I read about your walking trips I am reminded of what a merchant seaman friend of my son told me about Haifa. He says that it is very hilly and even explained about the 'subway' that has crooked seats and goes up to Mt. Carmel. He sails on a cargo/container ship and often docks at Haifa. Says it is a beautiful area.

Thank you Jaon ,, i love Haifa ,,, did you know that we have had the biggest number of Beauty Queens , from the Israeli ones ,,,, we think it is all those hilly streets that give our girls this remarkable Legs !!! mirjam
