faux fur vs. feathers???

Hi Group

Just wanting to glean advice from you about the 'knitablity' of the faux fur.

The Feathers is knitting up really well on large needles for a scarf/wrap type of garment, but the faux fur is just knotting and hard to knit with. maybe I am lazy and don't really feel like taking my time with this stuff. Is this normal or should I be aware that this his how this type of yarn knits up??

Please fellow knitters, your knowledge is appreciated.

I haven't tried faux fur; is it like the fluffy fuzzy yarns that are not just fringe (they fluff in all directions)? For no good reason I found that for me those worked much better with reverse stockinette.

It could be that the faux fur requires an even bigger needle, or has to be kept as untwisted as possible.

Guessing wildly, =Tamar

Only that every yarn is a bit different, but unfortunately we do not get either of those here so cannot help. Sorry, Roger.

I have a trick with the Faux Fur that I figured out after horrific tangling of several skeins. I put my hand through the hole in the middle of the ball and rewind it into a non-centre pull ball (just winding by hand). Then I knit from that. No more tangles!
