Help with sock embroidery?

Hi all:

I'm trying to embroider two simple letters onto a pair of socks, no special fonts/designs/etc. needed. Ideally the end result would look something like this, but I'm pretty flexible;

That's a really odd place to put the initial. Usually, they go on the cuff. But if this is what you want, it is easily done by duplicate stitch or "Swiss darning" --

I could understand it if the initials were "L" & "R".

Beverly Years ago when i learned weaving in BU [in the PIA] , everybody wove on the looms without their shoes =3D with their socks , which of course had quickly some holes,,, some of the students had socks that were repaired with many odd colors, to my question why not use a matching color they said that the More colors they added , the more Veteran Weaver you are !!!! Children`s socks have littke cartoons mm i think it is neat if somebody wants to embroider socks ,, mirjam

Nope, those go ON the shoes, unless you're doing competitive obedience, then you don't need it because "left" is towards the dog and "right" is away from him.

I hope that woman finds somebody that can help her with her requested Embroidery. Training dogs is interesting, I know a trainer that swears that usuauly her trains the owners. The dogs know quite well what to do. mirjam
