Well Aud,

You Ladies have me interested. Is the traditional pattern free. I would like to do the one with out the seam for Gail. I would like to use the sport weight yarn I have about 20 - 22 stitches in 4 inches or

10 cm .

Maybe I will publish a picture. I have given away easily hundreds of pounds of yarn in the last 26 or 27 years. I have taken very few pictures. I have to change that.

Hugs & God bless, Dennis & Gail

Hi Ophelia, I'm fine too, if a tad too busy to post much, but I do read regularly. Glad to hear you're well, hope the joints are standing up to daily life without complaining Love & higs Christine

Having that today :-)

We had an old fashioned rabbit stew last night, it was delicious! I'm busy finding more recipes for the meatier parts - legs and saddles.

Which reminds me, the sock pattern book gives the instructions as 'recipes'!

Yes, Spouse is my toyboy too - only three months younger mind you but because of his long grey-white beard people assume that he's ancient.

I think they all get "whiskery".

Rob grew a beard years ago but keeps his trimmed now. It used to be a full set but when the boys got older they started teasing him and calling him "the mad professor".

Mind you, the best our son can manage is a good imitation of designer stubble. ;-)

Oh yes, we all have our moments, and just now mine are less to do with joints (thank goodness!) and more to do with only having 24 hours in a day! We've got a bit Church Fair coming up in the summer and the request has gone out for as much stuff as possible to sell. Teacosies anyone? Or if anyone can think of quick readily sellable items I'd be grateful for ideas

Butting in......I started a Blog to keep a record of my projects and have a way to track my progress, I still see myself as a semi beginner.

Our litter has always referred to us as The Aged Parents, even in our twenties and without a beard between us!

I hate that. I think shaving is daft (I don't do it!) but if you can't do it properly you have to be clean-shaven, I think. Stubble looks scruffy. One of our sons would have a magnificent beard but he's in the RAF so isn't allowed to have one. When he's on leave he lets it grow so as not to have to shave twice a day, that's how Spouse started. Another son doesn't have a good beard but he has one. No 3 son thinks that looks so awful and knows his would be like that so makes sure he's clean shaven.

When our oldest was a toddler most of our men friends had beards, that resulted in all bearded people being 'Daddies' and all clean-chinned ones being 'Mummies'.

Hmm ... :-)
