May 6x6 received

Nora and Christine,

I received my squares over the weekend. Thank you so much, Christine! They are really beautiful. Are they all Tunisian crochet? I just might be inspired to learn it now that I see what it is like. DH especially liked the dark blue one with the little diamond pattern (personally, I can't pick out a favorite - I like each one more than the next!). The bookmark is gorgeous too - thank you so much, you are so generous! And thank you for the postcard and your note as well. Looks like you live in a very nice place!

Cheers, LauraJ

Hi Laura, I'm so glad the package arrived, the trans Atlantic delivery times seem to vary greatly. I think that 2 of the squares are Tunisian and 1 regular crochet. I really like making the squares in Tunisian crochet, it seems to be easier to get the size right, and I enjoy trying out new patterns. Do try it, it's actually really straightforward, and once you've got the hang of it on regular sized hooks the Easy Tunisian hooks and cable hooks are great for making soft blanket/afghan fabrics. I've got one on the go (slowly, in between other things) to cover our (rather aged and tatty) sofa, in Aran weight yarn in browns, cream and grey, using up left overs. It's going to be lovely and soft. Hope the bookmark's useful, and thanks for being my partner Love Christine
