I had coffee this morning with a buyer for a chain craft store. Anyway, she told me that will be new knitting needles with tiny lights in the tips. I can see advantage to them, especially when Debbie is trying to sleep and I have to complete "just one more row." I did a little googling and found their site:

I have a little camper's headlight with a tight beam that works pretty well for knitting or reading in the dark. It is much handier then the lights in the needles when I must refer to my pattern or find something in my knitting tote.
It is technically part of our emergency supplies, but this is sort of a test, while waiting for the BIG ONE.
