Excellent! I'll have to see if there will be a local event.

I always knit in public, sometimes at unusual places. Last week, after I took my car in for new tires, I was sitting outside the garage waiting to be picked up, and I pulled out the bag I'm working on and started in. An older man was just leaving the shop and commented, "I don't see enough young women doing that any more. Good for you!" Made my day :-)

And on an unrelated note, my favorite holiday gift from my mom this year was a sweatshirt that says "Knit Wit"
