On T: whatchoo workin on?

I've got socks on the dpn's, socks on two circs, plans for a faroese shawl, am frogging my NYCO, and that's ALL for a change.... seems strange to only have two things going..... must be working too hard! Hugs, Noreen

Um......

Shetland shawl from the Heirloom Knits book; one of the ones that isn't in the "Projects", but does have a full pattern I can splice together...

Ostrich lace stole in alpaca laceweight from the Knitter's Shawls and Scarves book. I'm loving that project...

Still trying to find the gumption to complete the Peacock Feather circular shawl in alpaca sportweight....It's just a bit too warm to work on that edging lately...

A few sweaters I'll eventually pick up again....someday....

And other than trying to do some quilting and garment sewing in there....that about sums it up.

I've got socks going, two sets, one as my take-along project and the other is on hold for now; it's a lacy pattern that requires a bit more concentration than usual so it's a home project. My current evening knitting is an afghan that one of my daughter's teachers won at a school auction; I offered to knit an afghan in the color of the winner's choosing.

I'm getting ready to start the Lace Shawl from the Knitters Shawls and Scarves book; it's the turquoise one that was on the cover of issue 9, but I'm making it in a dark sage green.

Hi All,

I'm working on a pair of socks using the Koigu KPPPM I got in NOLA about a month ago. They are coming along well, but these are the smallest dpn's I've used (#2 US) and my finger tips are about to go numb.

I finished the wrap using the Douceur et Soie (also a NOLA acquisition). I decided it was never going to be the Branching Out scarf, so I found a simple crochet pattern and it also turned out well. All I have to do is block it and weave in 2 ends.

Finally, I was out of town last week end and bought some beautiful Blue Sky Alpaca & Silk. I think I will try the Branching Out scarf with this yarn. I just can't wait to get my hands on it, but I'm going to finish the socks first.

Just (re)starting knitty.com's tank top "Soleil" in honor of one of my best friend's service dog (chocolate Pomeranian!). I have two pair of socks on the needles; one toe up, one top down. I also have a white shawl in Noreen's pattern of "Pearls of dewdrops" for my DM going as well as "Cables after Whiskey" that I started in January '05. Gee, maybe I need to start something else????? SNARK!

Well . . . I've just cast on for a pair of socks, am going to cast on for a jersey for DH, already have the Pi shawl going, a shrug for Knitters Shawls and Scarves, and numerous other things that I am working on - sorta. It being winter over here, it's a good time to knit. I'm also working on the Yoga wrap from the recent Vogue magazine. Charmaine

I've got the usual couple of blankets for the still born baby charity going, and I've just started the first of 2 Lotus Blossom Tanks, the one on the front of the new Interweave Knits, one for each of the DDs. The yarn is South West Trading Company's Bamboo, and this one's in a rather nice shade of jade green, very pretty. The next one is going to be in the same yarn in a yellow/green/blue variegated, just a little "louder" for DD2, more her style. The tank has a very interesting construction where the back is knitted over the shoulders to form fairly substantial straps, it's a nice pattern and so far no problems with it. Love & higs Christine

PS, plus, of course, the inevitable *several* projects in waiting! (started and not quite abandoned:yet)

Christine,

I've been wanting to try bamboo yarn. How do you like it? There is none around here for me to see & feel in "person". I've thought about ordering some, but would like to hear what you think of it.

This is the second thing I've made with it, Hesira, I used it for a shrug for one of the daughters (can't remember which, used Soysilk for the other one) and I really like working with i. It's a sort of "chain" construction so you have to be a bit careful if your needles are very pointed not to snag the fibres, but it feels like a light cotton/linen sort of texture. It's quite light but drapes nicely, I'd recommend it for summer tops HTH Love & higs Christine

On needles: a pair of circular rib socks, the languishing boucle jacket, a baby blanket using leftover yarn from a couple others, and I just started an afghan for my daughter.

Is that all?

Heck, I guess I should start something else! :)
