OT....I'm Back....Bart

Dec 26, 2005 15 Replies

God it is nice to be back in the group. It has been about a year since I have been in the group. I use to be a Webtver, lightening decided that I didn't need to be anymore....LOL.

I finally went out and bought me a computer, HP Pavilion, only had it for a couple of weeks now. And I must say that this is definately better and looks a whole lot different than the webtv does. And I have to say THANK YOU to Nora , for giving me directions back to the group.

Been very busy, drawing my own designs on the computer, and then turning them in afghans. Made a couple of afghans for christmas presents.

That is enough for now, Just wanted to say HI to all of you. And looking forward to chatting with everyone again!

Bart

wooohoo! Welcome back, Bart! You've been missed! Noreen

Hi Bart! I just want to say welcome back here. And Auntie Nora is one sweet person, I know that. Best: Pirjo

WB, Bart. Hope we don't lose you again.

Hi Bart, Welcome back. Nora told me to look for your posting. Glad you made it. I'd be interested in seeing your designs.

Hi Bart,

I'm glad to see you made it here again. As the others have said you have been missed. Google isn't that bad to use, but it does take getting used to. I know what webtv is like, as I started with that back in 1998, then went with this Gateway in 2000.

Hugs,

Nora

Welcome Bart - I'm new here, too and Nora has been helping me with my new Dell B110. I agree that the old newsgroups were easier, but I'm glad Google is offering groups. Does everyone have to 'sign in' each time? That's been hard to get used to.

Bart, good to see you back here again.

Joan, you asked about signing in every time on Google - I have to sign in about every two weeks, or if I delete my cookies. But other than that, I don't have to sign in. Did you check the box where it says "Remember me on this computer?" - that could be the problem.

Rusty, that was the way it worked on my old computer - about every two weeks. I've only had this one a week, so I'm still investigating all the 'bells and whistles'. My old one was eight years old and this new one is a world of difference. My son told me that computers age faster than cars these days..........

Welcome back, Bart! Good luck with your new computer! Susan K

We will get the hang of these computers sooner or later...

Thanks for all of the warm Welcome Backs!

Bart

Hello back Bart, good to hear from you again

Els

Don't talk about deleting cookies......which I did, on advice from my kids and promply lost my banking access and had to start all over again...moan and groan

Els

Thank you for leaving the original posting, Katherine... I totally missed it. Umm.. at least I think I did (just watch, I've already welcomed Bart back and am making an ass of myself. LOL).

In any case... in case I *did* miss the original posting and haven't done so yet.... welcome back Bart! ;o)

- I keep getting blonder, and blonder, and blonder! Hey... that's my excuse, and I'm sticking with it! LOL

Hi Joan,

I have to sign in each time I come to the groups, and if I forget and close it out by mistake, then I have to do it too. Doesn't bother me that much as long as I can read and reply, but it did take getting used to.

Higs,

Nora
