Katherine,
I saw the news in Montreal and immediately thought of you. I apologize that I don't remember what school you are at there but I'm sure you are shaken even if it isn't your school. Please check in and let us know you are okay.

I'm glad I could help out. I don't post very often to Yarners but when I heard about the shooting in Montreal I immediately posted to Katherine and got a reply to a different post not long after.
I haven't posted here much lately either as I have been away on vacation (got back Monday) and then today has also been busy for DH and I.
Take care Darlene

Sorry I didn't post sooner, Laura. I had no internet on Wednesday - probably because of the incident. It was not my school, but one of my professors has a daughter in that school. Actually, we had an incident outside here this evening, with guns and policemen. I have to commend Montreal police offecers - they were here within seconds of getting the call. Nobody was killed, or even shot, but the police had to use force to restrain one of the men, who claimed to have a gun. There was blood on the steps of the residence, and we decided not to go out. There were about 12 officers and three cars, plus an ambulance, as one of the men was injured. Apparently, the two men had a fight, and when security officers tried to break them up, one claimed to have a gun, and threated the officer. I was in my apartment, and heard the commotion. It was scary, buyt reassuring at the same time, to know that the police would respond so quickly. Thanks for your concern. Higs, Katherine
Thanks to everyone for your concern. Since I am posting through Google, there is a daily limit on my posts, so I am not replying to everyone individually. However, I am fine. I have been praying for all those affected by the shooting. One of the students staying here is really upset. She is an exdchange student from the UK, and really wants to go home. I am trying to persuade her to stay, as Montreal is a really friendly city. That being said, you should read my other post about my exciting evening. Higs, Katherine
Hi Katherine
You sound so calm :) I, too, have been thinking about you.
Thanks for checking in! Michelle
No problem, Michelle. If I did not have to go through Google, I would be here more often! Thanks for your concern. Higs, Katherine
I go through Google, too, and after a while you get used to it. Apparently datemas is a good one to use, too.
Michelle
Get used to it? Well, I don't think I ever will. But it is better than nothing.
Higs, Katherine
