OT: Merry Christmas

Christmas must be close - we got our Sears Christmas catalog yesterday. I swear it comes earlier each year, and it is not even Halloween yet.

LOL I know. Disgusting, isn't it? But as crafters, we know that we start Christmas preparations in January.

Hi Roger,

decorations, they said it's because so many folks have to send gifts overseas to the troops and have to start their shopping early. I too agree that it gets earlier every year.

Hugs,

Even though i don't really like to see things out so early, you really have to look through them (if you're needing things). Because by the time you are ready to browse, lots of the nice things are gone. Same with Xmas gifts and such. Lots of the popular sizes go quickly in the pretty items.

Well, Nora, those of us with family far away have always had to shop early for Christmas and get the stuff in the mail on time. However, it still drives me NUTS to hear Christmas Carols in October. I actually think it's counter-productive,and I won't shop anywhere that does this. To everything there is a season........

Nothing unusual about that for those of us in Australia! I've only been here 23 years and still can't get used to a hot Xmas and the line "it's getting warmer so Xmas is on the way" still seems weird.

LOL Personally, I would hate that.... I *have* to have my snow for Christmas!! It can go away again the next day and it wouldn't bother me, but I just hate no snow at Christmas... it makes me feel sad for some reason.

Peace! Gemini

I understand Viviane. I was in Hawaii a few years and we tried to do the fake tree and everything the first year but it was a bust and too hot to cook so it was more like sweat christmas since no one has an air conditioner in their home there. The second year we just gave up and barbecued outside and went to the beach. It was weird.
