I hope all of you who live in the midwest survived the storms and heat from yesterday. It's going to get cooler today or tomorrow, our Canadian friends are sending some nice refreshing air down to you and the temperatures will be 30 degrees cooler then yesterday.

Thanks, Nora! It was 100 yesterday with a heat index of 117. Today was 68! What a difference! It was a nice break from the heat! :o)

Oh good - hope it holds as I am due to be in Iowa next week at my sister's place in Des Moines and up in Boone at camp. A short visit in August - and I should know better as I lived in Iowa for about ten years many years ago. (Usually I try to stay in the Pacific Northwest in August to avoid that hot, steamy weather. )
What camp are you staying at in Boone next month? I'm at camp at Sunstream Retreat Center (outside of Ogden) every June with our Missionettes group from church.

Camp Hantesa. It is just outside of the Ledges. I was a camper and counselor there many years ago. An old friend is retiring as camp director so I am going for the reunion and celebration.
