OT: Sunday Morning and Happy Easter

Good morning everyone and Happy Easter.

Yes it is early for me and I have already been up for two hours enjoying some quiet time to myself and knitting. I don't very often get this time on the weekend even though it's just the two of us here.

Hope everyone is doing well. I haven't been posting much lately as typing is difficult considering I am still dealing with problems with my left wrist and now have some pains in the right wrist.

Take care Darlene in Toronto

Hi, it's sunday morning for me, allthough the time is more than 3 in the afternoon! LOL! I have mostly relaxed in bed this easter, have got a heavy cold. DH got it first, I felt sorry for him, because I myself felt so well and energic ;-) But two days later.... LOL! OK I have holiday and nothing to worry about. I will be OK when easter is over! And I have read books. One of my greatest pleasures. I am going to Barcelona with a friend/collegue in May, and therefore I have read "Shadow of the wind" by Carlos RuiZ Zafón, for the SECOND time!

Using the Barcelona map while reading, the whole book got much more "alive" to me this time! It is a thrilling story, it tells an interesting (and sad)story about Spain (from 1900 and forward) and about peoples life in difficult situations, and much about reading and writing books!

If anyone are interested, you can view inside the book here(click at the link under the book):

Hi Everyone,

Easter wishes for everyone. It's a windy and cool day here in upstate NY. I went outside to take a picture of the latest finished afghan and had to come back in and get my jacket as it's a cool wind.

Aud, I do hope you get feeling better soon, these spring colds seem to be the worst.

Darlene, I hope the doctor finds out what is causing all the pain, wonder if it's something in the shoulder that is causing it to radiate down to your wrists?

Hugs,

Nora

Aud get better soon, but also enjoy the time out in bed....LOL

My daughter Peggy and her Husband just have come back from a European Holiday, and one of the places they went to was Barcelona. They loved it and where enthraled by Daudi's architecture. Peggy showed me a lovely book they brought back on all the great buildings and places. It is full with great design ideas, shape and colour. Feast your heart and tell us all about it when you come back, but getter better first

Love

May I add, that I have all kinds of problems with my body getting plain Old....LOL for the last half a year I have been doing yoga twice a week if it works out, other wise once a week. Many of the gentle stretching excersises are very helpful, as wel as that I feel much better mentally also. We are just a very small local group. We are all more or less in the same age group as well. I have made some new friends, plus there are also some weaving and spinning friends there as well. One of them, Dawn who was a dance teacher in California, showed us at a guild meeting how to counter act, with good stretches, the problems created by sitting behind a loom, or wheel, or doing hours of knitting. So to all of you, when you do knit or weave, spin for a long time,or sit behind the computer, take breaks and strech, it works wonders. Better late than never for me...LOL

Happy Sunday Everyone,

We've had a nice, relaxing day. My mother-in-law cooked the family meal (my husband's family is catholic and gets together for all the holidays) and we just had to show up. I was able to knit a slipper and

3 rows on my jacket while we visited.

Now we're home and ready to settle in for the evening. The weather is beautiful also.

Happy easter to all , Don`t over work to Pesach holders,,,, Darlene quick healing to your wrists ... Haven`t written yesterday , this week with Holiday/Saturday/Holiday complicates my days counting .....also found a wet wall between bathroom and workroom , thus spent the day in reorganizing stuff.....only good result, and calling the man who has to repair it .. no result , he might be on holiday ???? Anyway mannagedto move lots of wool, and cotton , into a closet, which i organized only a month or such ago .... maybe when one gets desperate it helps to be more organized . Another resolution , finnish works [craft and art and Don`t add to stash ANYTHING i don`t need NOW .]]]]]]] mirjam

Happy Easter to everyone a few hours late. I had to work today and I don't mind but it was so hectic. One of my patients fell out of bed and broke his neck. Then he told me to leave him alone because it's his right to break his neck if he wants to. How can an old man still be crotchity with you when you're trying to keep his head from rolling down the hall? And that was just the highlight of my day. I came right home to look at the want ads but I guess there are crotchity old men with broken necks no matter where you go. Pamjam
