Out of time, out of time

I'm ALMOST finished with the knitting ont he Circumnavigated. I finished the button band today (discovered the buttonholes are ALMOST too small for the buttons despite being (s2kwktbl, 3yo, k2tog) buttonholes. At this point I'm just too tired to do the binding off, even tho I'm planning to crochet off with a bigger hook. I think I'll give my son some free rows on his garter stitch scarf. Mindless knitting is what I need.

So tomorrow I'll do the binding off, darn in ends, and sew on buttons. Yay for a new sweater!

You are so busy, Wooly! Congratulations with the finished cardigan(?), I have never heard of "the Circumnavigated" before, but found somthing about it at the net. Is it a special pattern? I saw it was refered to a pattern in Knitter's #10 (which must be old, I think they have passed #80?) But when I google for pictures, I saw different variations? They looked classic and good to wear to me. AUD ;-))

The Circumnavigated cardigan is a pretty basic mock drop-sleeve cardigan. The pockets are knitted in as you go, which is pretty nifty. The real slick part is the way the armholes and shoulder shaping are done.

I tried to make a self-portrait using hte bathroom mirror but there's not enough light to really show the sweater - that pesky chocolate brown wool just doesn't want to be seen! It is daylight out there right now so I'll find a padded hanger and get a shot for y'all which I will post under a new thread.
