Pictures!

As discussed in a post earlier with Mirjam, I've got a couple of pictures if you want to look.

The autumn coloured sweater is almost finished. I have to finish the neck and a few "thousand" ends to weave in. Ick. The yarn is called "Sabrina" by Four Seasons and is 75% wool, 25% acrylic. It's wonderfully soft.

have just started the sweater in Patons UpCountry. The yarn is ice blue,100% wool unspun. It's VERY soft.http://tinyurl.com/9cl5rShelagh

Hi Shelagh,

Your autumn sweater looks gorgeous, and those colours are great. The ice blue yarn looks to be working up nicely and looks as if it will be really warm to wear. I had a look at some of your other photos and was stunned by the beautiful knitted shawl. I don't think I'd have the patience for something like that. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Sue Thanks for your nice comments. The pink shawl is beautiful, and light as a feather too - I love it. I worked on it for most of last winter, promising myself to do at least one row every day, especially as it got wider and wider. It was a simple pattern, not hard at all, a 7 row repeat. I worked on other projects while knitting it and it wasn't too bad at all where patience is concerned. I'm not the most patient person, but have decided I like shawls. (smile). I can't wait to start the Peacock Feathers.

Thanks Katherine... the colours in the pictures could be better, but at least it gives an idea of the projects.

Shelagh, I just had a look around your site at all your pictures. What beautiful work you have done! :o)

Did you get your patterns from the internet, or from pattern books?

Peace! Gem

Hmmmm, let me think...... Autumn coloured sweater is from a Noro pattern book, and so is the blue sweater. The pink shawl is from a book called "The Knitter's Stash".

It depends. I have tons of patterns I've purchased and tons I've downloaded off the net from various sites, such as Lion Brand, Coats, Patons, FreePatterns.com, Frugalhaus.com

Great! Thank you for the information on the ones you could remember. Can I ask about the pastel baby blanket though... that one is so pretty and looks like it has a few different stitches in it. Did that one come from a book that you can remember, or from the internet?

Peace! Gem

Shilleagh, thank you for those pictures - I just love the colours of your autumn jumper.

I enjoyed what I saw of your slide show too - the lacy pattern is superb - however I am short of time thismorning and my computer is a very slow down loader so i only saw a couple of the slide show. When I get my new computer I will see more as i am saving the url God Bless Gwen

Hi Gwen, I'm glad you enjoyed my pictures. You can view them one at a time, just picking out the ones that might interest you. That way it doesn't take as long. ;>)

Those are very nice sweaters Shelagh. Cute pattern for the autumn one. The new ice blue Patons is a pretty yarn, it sure looks soft to the touch. Marie and the cats

Thanks for the pics! Like the others, I peeked at a few more. That shawl is really great. I love shawls but the patience part is particularly hard for me. I also enjoyed Kaitlyn - looks like she loves having things made for her! (really cute smiles)

Thanks, I'm a proud grandmother and love making things for her too. I recently sent her a pair of felted slipper clogs and apparently she even wore them to bed the first night. (grin)

When I did that shawl, it was one of four or five projects I had going at the same time. I tried to make sure I did at least one or more rows every day, and that way it wasn't a huge chore.

Thanks Nora. I'm glad you like it - but we know how much you like variegated yarn! (wink).
