Lots of discussions about socks, knitting them mostly. My question is this....I have made crocheted slippers before. But as you wear them, they wear out, get fuzzy underneath, and generally look worn out quickly.
Now I suppose that if you knit socks, the stitches are tighter, the socks are able to be worn inside shoes. And I would think that they last much longer.
Why is that? Is it the tighter stitch, a better sock yarn, or just plain wearing them inside shoes.
I am just wondering and since so many of you do knit the socks, maybe you can answer. Thanks bunches,
