Spindles and Stuff

Hello...I hope it is not inappropriate to post this here. If it is please let me know and it will not happen again.

I own a small fabrication company that makes hardwood spindles of all types for hand spinning as well as Takli for spinning fine fibers. I make high whorls (light, medium, and heavy), drop spindles, Navajo spindles,Balkan spindles, and Akha spindles. I also make lap bowls for support spinning.

I also make nostepinne, niddy noddies, spindle racks, and combs.

The Takli are made from 360 Brass with a tool steel shaft. They can be left as is or the shaft can be finished in a black matte finish.

The combs have tines made of 304 Stainless and will not rust. There are

15- 1.5" tines on 1/4" centers. The handles and bodies can be had in a multiple of American hardwoods.

I have made these for a major reseller for over a year and they sell quite well, but I need to make more to cover my overhead. All products are made by me personnaly and are 100% guaranteed. If you are not happy I will replace the product or give you your money back, no questions asked. I also sell these at well below what others sell them for and they are top quality.

I have never made anything in exotic woods, but it is an option. However, the prices will be a little higher because of the cost of exotic woods.

I do not keep up with the market prices on exotics since all I use are local cut hardwood lumber. Almost all American hardwoods are available such as Oak (white and red), walnut, cherry, ash, hickory, etc. It mostly depends on what the saw mill has cut and kiln dried when I go to pick up my lumber.

These are not mass produced and each is made one at a time by me on my machines in my shop. Each item is signed and dated and the Takli's are stamped with our logo. If you do not want the stamp or want a different letter put on the Takli we can do that free of charge. Just let me know and we will take care of it.

All of the spindles are weighed without the shaft and the weight in ounces is listed on the bottom of the spindle along with the date of manufacture and my initials. If you need a plain spindle let me know.

No poly's or stains are used. All finishes are natural and I mostly add a wax finish after the finish is applied. That way you can just rewax and buff the spindle and it will be as good as new after you use it for a while.

The easiest way I know of to show my products is to put them on E-Bay. I have used the name "Spindlesandmore".

There are no products listed but I will put up a few things this week.

Please let me know what you think and if you need anything special made please do not hesitate to ask. I have a full wood shop as well as a full machine shop and all types of welding are available. I can weld anything from exoctics to braze cast iron.

Let me know and you will get a prompt quote and professional service.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and if you want to contact me please do so via e-mail at: snipped-for-privacy@aol.com.
