Ooooh, I love the color of the variegated yarn of "my poncho"... does she say where she found that pattern?

Knit Susan is me...

Thanks Katherine for sending on.

The poncho yarn is Caron's discontinued Dazzle yarn in the color Wisteria. I had made an afghan for Mom in that and had enough for my poncho. It is the only coat I wore when we went to Illinois over Christmas.

Thanks for the nice compliments!

Hi, Susan. I have tried to contact you through your e-mail address, but was not able to do so, as my e-mails bounced back. That is why I took the liberty of posting the URL. In my notes to you, I commented especially on the felted bag and hat, the entrelac knapsack and the colour of the Opal you are using for your socks. Great work! One of these days, I will definitely try entrelac.

Susan, Your work is lovely! And it was great seeing you and your family wearing what you knit for them!

Ahh, well see I would have known that if you had sent me your picture to put in the RCTY Photo album! ;o) hehehe Just teasing!

You're welcome! :o) It is a very pretty colour. Where did you find the pattern for the poncho though? Is it online somewhere? It looks so nice and warm. Do I see a cable down the center of it?

Gemini

PS. Can I grab that picture to put in the RCTY Photo album, or would you rather I didn't? Totally up to you! :o)

Hi Susan,

Like Katherine, I tried to write you a note after you sent me the address, but AOL says your mail box is full so nothing can be posted to it until you read your mail. I love everything that you did and the family pictures.

Hugs,

Nora

Silly, Gem. I am already in your photo album, under Susan Carey. But if you want to change out the pics, feel free. This one is probably better, since I have lost more weight in the interim. Now, as to the pattern...

formatting link
is very easy and easy to modify as well. Of course, if I remembercorrectly, you do not do circular knitting, so you could probably do iton straigth needles and join at the cable. Hugs, Susan

Oooops.... and thank you for sharing the pattern URL. You're right, I don't use circulars or double points.

Now to go rest... after checking the rest of the messages. I obviously

*need* sleep, considering that I didn't realize I had your picture already in the album. But like I said... I thought you did look familiar. ROTFLMAO

*hugs* Gem
