Sweater weather!

Central Texas is experiencing Sweater Weather for the first time this fall! Overnight a "strong cold front" blew down out of the upper Midwest - I woke up to a blustery 50F with drizzle.

Not-so-small boy wore his "jack-o-lantern" sweater to school - it's a WoolPak sweater made of BRIGHT ORANGE wool yarn onto which I appliqued at his request many assorted Hallowe'en patches, and I broke out my Boyfriend Sweater for the morning carpool run to school.

I was planning to get out and do some yardwork today but I guess I'll stay in and knit. What a bummer!

I grew up in the Great White North - cold doesn't bother me. Lack of opportunity to show off my handknit sweaters is a problem, however, so I take every chance I get :D

My part of Texas doesn't really get much sweater weather, you know!

Well, there you go! Wear your sweaters in good health, and with pride that you have something nice and handmade that most people in your area don't have. ;o)

Wow. I'm jealous. It's been in the 80s and muggy here in South Carolina. I have to sit in the air conditioning to knit. :-)
