My sister told me about a textile exhibit in New York at the Museum of Arts & Design. The show is called Radical Lace & Subversive Knitting. She read about the exhibit in the newest issue of Dwell Magazine. Anyway, here's a link to the show to give you a taste. Wish I were in New York to see it! The micro-knitting is amazing!
wish I could see this exhibit!

It wasn't easy and the result was uneven (my hands shake). I don't think I'll be doing it again but those little gloves are superb!
What I liked best was the hand-knotted nylon net display, such graceful lines ...
The website is a teaser, I have no chance to see the exhibition :-(

those tiny gloves amaze me as some of my grandmother's fancy-work that I'd found after my mother passed away. her crochet hooks are about the diameter of sewing needles, and the work is so perfect that i'd assumed it was scrap lace from sewing projects until i found the thread and tiny crochet hooks neatly stashed in a box underneath. She was born in 1889, died in 1978 and I don't believe she ever had idle hands. if she was sittin', she was knittin'.
anyway, all of that might be a bit off topic so i'll add that i wish i could make it to NY also :P
Cheers
