Hi Cheryl - I've only been making glass beads for a few short years and know that in many ways am just a beginner. However, we all have to start somewhere. Like any artist, I create something first for myself and then take the risk of making it public, hoping there are others that are also able to find beauty in what I've done.

Hi Kalera - Thanks for your kind words. My compliments on your beads! I especially liked the Palladium Blue Potpourri. Beautiful!

Cheryl:

I just want to say that I found your post rather mean-spirited. I went to the site that Tim above was promoting and liked it a lot. First of all, it was beautiful and easy to navigate. I also found that the beads he makes look great and most of all they are AFFORDABLE. Not all of us can shell out $40 or $75 for one bead! I placed an order which added up to 100 euro (more in dollars, unfortunately) last Thurs. and received it today, all the way from Italy! The beads are beautiful, consistent, well-made and the most expensive one cost 3.50 euro. From what I can tell from your site, a bead of comparable size and shape would be about $25. They also had some great Venetians which I ordered a few of too.

The only reason I am wasting my time saying this, is I feel that artists should support eachother and not bash eachother's work. Not everyone's taste is the same. You really sounded smug when you insinuated that Tim wasn't good enough to post here. It made me not want to visit your site at all, let alone buy something from you.

There are a lot of us who read through these posts and never say anything. But this time I just had to speak up. I thought beading and talking about beading was supposed to be fun, not political like everything else in this mean-spirited world!
