Drop me an email if something tickles your fancy. I begin photos tonight after a trip to the Halloween store to get some fake tombstones. LOL! Prairieson is building a chill unit for our fog machine. We plan to scare the bejeebers out of the neighborhood kids.

Got home from my last minute Hallowe'en shopping to find nearly 30 emails with questions about and requests for beads. Thanks everyone! Here is what I'll do: I'll try to get some decent group shots of things for you to look at. I have a lot of things I need to take care of before the little neighborhood goblins start roaming the streets tomorrow evening. Plus Donna (assistant) is coming tomorrow and there are some things we need to do.

When I get some pics posted, I will send a notice to my mailing list folks. If you haven't received a mailing or two from me in the last few weeks, then you're no longer on my list for whatever reason. I had to remove a handful of email addresses that were constantly bouncing. I'll be happy to add you of you drop me a note at:

I am SO jealous!!!!! You actually have Halloween on Halloween!!!!! When I was younger it used to be that way (I lived in Maine then). Now that I live in Pennsylvania, it is SCREWED up! They do Halloween on the weekend AFTER Halloween! Personally I think it is STUPID, especially this year, since Halloween is on Friday...It isn't like the kids have to go to school the next day! Sadly, Kyle will never go trick or treating unless we move to an area where they actually do it on Halloween night, because that's what I grew up with and so did Michael...

I hope we'll get the kids from a few houses away. But I've never had any trick or teaters here yet. Too far out.

Well I do have a better reason than that too, but alot of it is the whole messed up way they do it around here...It just doesn't feel right... My other reason is that despite living here in Howard (20 mins from State College (Penn State)) for 2 years, we still don't know alot of people here. We are pretty much home bodies and don't go out alot.

When we were new to an area, and the kids were small, we went with the kids. Great way to meet the neighbors.

As a kid, I love Halloween. It gave me a chance to present myself as the person I thought I was, instead of the person everyone else insisted I REALLY was.

I can totally see all those reasons... totally valid... but did you mean it when you said *never*? Or were you just exaggerating? 'Cause even if it doesn't "feel right" to you doesn't mean it can't be a wonderful growing-up tradition for your kid. Like opening presents on day A instead of day B; it doesn't have to be the same for everyone to be fun.

I was probably exaggerating more than anything. Kyle just wasn't really old enough to go this year anyway. He is only 19 months old, and really doesn't have the concept of going door to door and what not.. Maybe next year we will go, as he will be 2 and a half by then and also able to speak for himself by then (hopefully). Right now he is just getting a few words out like Happy, bubble, apple, mama, daddy or dirty (not sure which it is at this point), baby, bubba, hi and I think bye, and maybe a few others that I can't think of right now.

Yeah, trick-or-treating at that age is totally pointless! Mine still (at

4 and 5) only go to about five houses before they get burned out. Even next year it's probably just as well to skip it, unless you *really* want the pictures of him in his costume tapping at his first door... which is cute.
