OT: Waved goodbye to the family today, some bead talk too

Like a flock of migrating geese, all the Darwin-ites have returned home today. Every one of them had a cold! Darwin is tropical and although our winters are mild by some standards, the poor dears could not handle the fogs and cold rain of Toodyay.

I took letter beads and plastic heart and star beads which were set with rhinestones. I had the undivided attention of my 5 nieces yesterday afternoon. We made name bracelets and I got to know the Darwin nieces a little better as we chatted and strung sparklies. I hope I made enough of an impression on them so they remember Auntie Marisa.

As soon as I arrived at the farm my SIL asked me what was for dinner. They like my cooking so I have spent the last 4 weekends dishing up meals for 16 people. Oi. I'm happy, but very tired.

It's good to catch up with you all and the bead world at large.

Just as well I love to cook! Yes, I made quite a few of my specialities. My bacon and egg pie was a huge hit at the party a couple of weeks ago. I cooked a lot of Italian dishes, they feed lots of people! The men trapped some conies for me (with strict instructions on how to dress them, they are somewhat inexperienced hunters!) and I made rabbit in white wine, a recipe I created many years ago, but haven't had a chance to cook until now when I have access to game once again. My FIL came back for thirds.

I missed you too, it's good to be 'home' Love
