wow. just...wow. amazing. the picture in the auction of the mermaid was beautiful, but nothing compares to actually holding it in my hand and looking at it. it's absolutely jaw droppingly stunning. I can forsee myself buying many, many more beads like this.
I think I'm just going to string her on a cord..nothing fancy. I might knot pearls or little dichro glass beads onto it, but that'll probably be it. the mermaid is beautiful enough to not need any sort of intricate or flashy necklace to support her.
I showed her to my mother, and now she understands exactly how I managed to spend $100 at a bead show. she didn't know people could make beads like that, and was quite impressed.
