Looking for an opinion....

I have a Brother Super Galaxie 2100 (not sure what name it is under in the US), I have seriously been considering upgrading to the 3000. I have heard some comments that the 3000 isn't as user friendly and there are quite a few glitches in it that need to be fixed. Does anyone know anything about these problems and can I have an opinion on whether it is worth the dollars to upgrade. It is really the larger embroidery area I am interested in but mainly the idea of a floppy seems like a great idea, instead of using a card all the time. Opinions and feedback would be great, thanks

Hi my 2001 is now just used as a basic machine (waste I know) but the ease of using the floppy plus the frame size is a huge bonus, I find the machine very user friendly, infact I allow my 13year old use it with little supervision. I admit to having a couple of glitches but they were due to a batch of bad machines, changed dealer took advise from Brother and this one is superb. Have had it about two years now. Sew daily and would recommend it to the hilt.... best wishes

Elsie I'm in Australia and I have the Brother Super Galaxie 3000 and LOVE IT! No problems in 2 years apart from the time thread became wrapped around the fly wheel but that was user fault (grin). Buy it, you'll love it too! The floppys are great, I have them from one end to the other of this room, must delete some stuff and use them again. It's so easy to just grab one and away you go. I've been digitizing with the PED software too, just for myself, and the 35 built -in alphabets in the software are so good, plus the ability to use True Type fonts, I've done some "weird" monograms. This is just in case the software is included.
