OT: Howdy from HOTlanta!

So, I'm back in Hotlanta for the week to get some special dental work done and to attend this month's Needlework Group Meeting. I am posting this using the "old" computer that has Mozilla loaded and my "regular" version of AOL. I walked into this house and wanted to turn right around and go home to the cabin and my cat. It's just sad for me to see this house, all bare and echoing and with no "baby" around who wants to sit or sleep with MOI and get scritches of the ears, etc (Bunny Sue & Ivy Jane aren't *my* kitties because they know that Cassie owns MOI!). It's difficult because I have two places to live -- here and the cabin in AZ -- but I don't really feel I have a "home" any longer. Bottom line, I just plain don't like it here any longer and want to go back to the cabin (it's certainly more "home" than this place) and be near DD, the SMDGD, my Granddogs & Grandkitty and Cassie (Old Lady Beige Cat). I brought the laptop with MOI so that DH could give it a good going over. Seems that the AOL, Netscape & Mozilla that were loaded onto the laptop, still aren't working, even here with a *good* hook-up and not the sleazy frontier.net wifi that I have at the cabin. I DID bring the directions for loading AOL 9.0 onto the laptop "properly" for use with that sleazy frontier.net. Thanks again to the wonderful person who found that info for MOI!! The only problem is that I couldn't find anyone who offered 9.0 as an upload!! Everyone offers 9.5, etc. but not

9.0. Frontier.net, say I can't use AOL 9.5 -- ONLY 9.0 or earlier!!!! And don't kvetch at MOI about AOL, Sheena -- that's what I'm used to so that's what I want to use!!! Seems that while I was at the cabin (and I can't wait to get back there!!!), DH finally got the "new" computer hooked up. It had gotten sick way back sometime in the early spring and in order to "fix" it, the geeks had to dump absolutely everything that was on it!!! I went to sign on and DH hasn't bothered to upload any version of AOL and I couldn't even switch users because I'm not listed as a user! Instead of making him add a bunch of stuff to the "new" computer (I'm only here for the week), he hooked up the "old" computer. No one is interested in the house -- haven't even had anyone come by to look in the last 2 weeks. That's not surprising since school has started everywhere. The listing goes until sometime in mid-October & we'll take the house off the market at that time. Next year it will go back on the market in early March. My NEW mantra for living is "I don't care, it doesn't matter, it's not important any more!" VBS -- I guess I'm just not in a very good "space" right now. The three hour time difference has got me all messed up. OY -- it's getting late and I still have to go read my mail, etc. Just wanted to check in using something less cumbersome that that nasty Google! CiaoMeow >^;;^<

I know how you feel Tia - we went thru that misery for 3 years - first year the people who fell in love with the house couldn't get the money, second year, miserable neighbour showed his rotten temper and ruined the sale of our house (people had 2 small boys & didn't want to be living next to a lunatic), so that fell thru - this year we got lucky and sold and are now settled in the City where no one will ever get me to leave again. Hang in there Girl - the right person will come along.

I sympathise with you. We tried so hard to sell our house about 3-4 years back Bad timing, because the housing market was starting to dive, In addition, any new resident (buyer or renter) had to have a Class A motorhome to live here for the first year.

WE found some lovely condos in northern New Hampshire, and were aching to move there.

Made no sense to own two properties, so bit the bullet, did some major changes..and guess are here until we leave feet first!. Hate Florida...LOVE New Hampshire/

Patience, and many hugs.
