George Ohr

He was the Mad Potter of Biloxi. There are a few books on his work and style .The Web has many sites that touch on his work but I believe the books will tell and show you more .

After the last topic, I did an image search on google and found lots of inspiring stuff that I added to my inspirations directory :-)

i have been glueing pictures to the ceiling of my workshop now for several months. soon there will be no more room & i'll have to get more creative in how i display these ideas-concepts-nice shots.

if i had a hi speed line i'd post to a web site; or even an address for someone i'm willing to snail mail a CD of pictures to someone.

i think i have some 500 MB of pottery & pottery releated pictures.

i found that when i had my regular ideas book, i never opened the pages. now with all the ideas on the ceiling, i just look up for inspiration.

~ it's a raised "lofted" ceiling.

try it if you have the room!

Hi again, Steve

My ceiling doesn't work for me - I would need a comfy chair and my room is too small for that.

If you want a website to post on, just register with

formatting link
- you get a free e-mail address (that has a good spam filter, in fact) and you can either use the huge free website at
formatting link
or there is a free album section as well. Personally, I post pictures (not of pottery yet) to my website, as I find the albums are a bit difficult to get into sometimes.

Yahoo has an online editor. Either that, or you edit the page on your computer and then upload it to replace the old page. There are also tutorials and such on yahoo.

Don't know about the other sites, sorry.
