Finally able to quilt again, need help with sons quilt

Hi, ya'll. My name is Shaylee and I stumbled across this site and decided to join. I was hit by a drunk driver about 18 months ago, right after Christmas. It pulled and wrenched several muscles, broke my collar bone, gave me short term memory loss, and messed up my neck so bad that the pain has been constant. The good news is....my neck pain had subsided the past couple of weeks and I have decided to start quilting again. I want to make my soon to be three year old a quilt using 6 inch bright fabric squares with animals on them. Anyone know of some good sources that maybe I can get some 6 inch squares without buying yardage. I already looked on my (and most peoples) favorite auction site. I have to work fast, his birthday is the middle of October and I only got the idea surfing images of quilts and he kept pointing out the brightest ones. I would like to make my oldest one a dinosaur quilt for the holidays, but the birthday quilt is a priority. I am in my late 20's but have been quilting half of my life. Just not the past year and a half. It feels great to want to do something, anything again. If anyone has any ideas on getting all this fabric together in the next couple of weeks, please e mail me. Bright Wishes...Shaylee

Sorry I can't help you with novelty fabrics - not something I ever buy, I'm afraid. But welcome to the group. Hopefully, now that you are recovering you'll be moving on to other pieces once you have finished your son's quilt; I might be able to help then, as will many others I'm sure, with tips and answers etc. .
