OT - Quiltmaker magazine?

Hello folks, I have issue 88 of Quiltmaker magazine, and it contains part 3 of the America the Beautiful Quilt which I believe was made by our own Mickie Swall. :) After looking at the pattern, I'm sure I have enough of the right sort of fabrics in my stash, and I'd like to have a go at it. My question is, is there anyone out there willing to part with their issue 86, 87 and 89 at a fair price? I've tried contacting the QM folks to ask about back issues but haven't gotten very far with that as of yet...

Jo, I have them and will be happy to give them to you. It would probably make sense to just, sorry, gut them and send the America the Beautiful sections to you. Even that will be a challenge out here in the Swamp where correct postage to Scotland may be a mystery. Polly

Just give them to me? Surely even in the swamp, there is a time of year when it is cool enough to receive some European chocolate in the post? Let me know which month that would be! :)

Now, there's a picture. I can just see the alligators taking off the arm of the mail carrier as she tries to hurl chocolate out the car window as she races through the Swamp. I'm just glad you will be able to enjoy the pages. Have I told you that the doctor who did DH's by-pass, heck, I don't even know exactly what to call him but something like Scottish/Arab. When he talks to us, he says, "Now you listen real slow and I'm going to tell you." What a sight! Polly

Do you mean he's half Scottish and half some other ethnic group? Or he has a mixed accent? No one here can work out where the h**l I'm from. Most think I'm Canadian. One thing is for sure - I'll be having this conversation (about my accent) until the day I drop dead. Sometimes I'm resigned and sometimes interested, but ultimately you can only do a thing 2 billion times over without a bit of the joy wearing out of it.

A witness on the current CourtTV trial is a Scottish woman from Germany. (She went there as a nanny long ago and stayed.) She sounds like she's from somewhere I've never heard before.
