  1. Canine repellent

  1. Cure for dry eyes (the stink makes your eyes water)

  2. Clears the sinuses

  1. Weight loss aide (nauseating 'scent')

  2. Stop smoking aide (I'm afraid to light up- it's horrid fumes MUST be flammable and/or explosive!)

  1. Air 'freshener' (overwhelms and masks ANY household odor)

  2. Birth Control (as in husband/SO repellent)

I think I'll live with my peeling fingernails and the wart on my little finger. I could not survive a second application!

Now, now, Leslie. It is not that bad - or you get used to it. One or the other. I think it's just such a surprise at first for it to be so Powerful. Anyhow, the nice Dr. Gott's newspaper column says that many people have terrific results from using Vick's Salve on problem fingernails so you were really using the wrong cure for your peeling nails. My ugly spot is rapidly disappearing so I guess I'll go around smelling like a log truck for a few more days. We do want to look pretty for Santa. (You never know.) He may have found out just how naughty we are. Polly

I asked my son, who stocks t he pharmacy department at the local Wally World, to bring me a little bottle of Tea Tree Oil. He refused, said he had been stocking the stuff and reading all the scary leaflets included with it. He said it can be fatal, particularly to cats and dogs but also to people, if too much is absorbed through the skin.

I think I will have to go r ound to the health food store and get their take on this. However, I tend to use a little bit of aloe vera plant juice for owies. I splashed very, very hot oil on my wrist two days ago, put it in ice water. And when it started to swell and throb I mutilated our poor little aloe plant and swabbed the burn really well. I did that twice. By yesterday morning I had a big red burn on my skin, looked really bad, but didn't hurt in the least. I can tell the skin isgoing to peel off but the flesh under the top layer of skin is obviously not burned. And trust me, it was on its way to a nasty and painful blister.
