When we were aheadin home, t'was my 'job' as Navigation Engineer to watch for signs for 'bed and board' each evening.....we did "catch as catch can' during the day for eats.

Late one afternoon, I saw a sign that had a SMILING GATOR on it! They were advertising their Gator Hotel / this exit. T'was way too early to think of retiring for the day. I searched as hard as I could to 'see' what it looked like but it was a bit away form the highway. I had planned on taking a pix for you.but no such luck. Thought crossed my mind that maybe one of your Gators had made it up that far inland cause of all the flooding..and the locals had adopted him/her.

Anyway, I just had to let you know that you were thought of and TALKED ABOUT on our excursion.

Well, now. Isn't that lovely? We may never know if the hotel is 'for' gators or owned and operated by gators. To tell you the truth, I just couldn't recommend either one. Polly

That's comforting to know. Now we won't worry about having 'missed' something that was worth writing about.
