we need talking!...Now

I've been kind of busy and kind of not. LOL I have been wasting a lot of time on the internet and not getting things done around the house. It will all still be there when I get around to it. Not like anyone ELSE is gonna lift a finger! HA Still dreaming about Mexico, and the cruise. It was such a great vacation and I want to go back SO bad!! There were many things I would like to have seen and just didn't have the time in one day to see it all. Still thinking about next January's cruise, April! My brother in laws' father died in a brush fire Sat night. He was terminal with cancer, and we dont know why he was burning brush..he was weak from chemo and all.... but the fire got out of control with the winds, and he got caught up in it, too weak to fight his way out. Very sad..... My youngest son has started track season for the first time.. MORE special sport shoes to buy, and baseball season it almost here too..cleats and gloves will be needed for that. He has outgrown almost everything since last year. I got to see an old school friend yesterday, and she offered to sell some of my greeting cards in her shop if I was interested in doing that. I just might! She has a "digital" business..all computer related, office supplies, photo restoration, digital imaging and web design, things like that. She is a great gal! And on top of all that ..hubby wants a new riding lawn tractor! He has been bugging me since I got back from the cruise...we have THREE in the garage...two are broken and he says they are for parts, the other one is barely running..and we cant afford to get it fixed...its old and just needs to retire. Maybe if he could sell the three of them we could have a starting place to get another one..*sigh...yeah never ending here too.. On the bright side..I am going to make myself get creative again. I miss it! Linda

There are turkeys everywhere out at my MIL's. They have chased after my two year old on more than one occasion. Those Toms can be pretty aggressive! Then again, my son is pretty tiny, they are probably thinking "Appetizer!" Hopefully the right people can get the situation under control for you!

My son has been gone about 1 yr now. He comes back and makes messes and I guess he thinks"Well momma will clean it up" attitude. Yet at the place where he is staying he says they are so messy and he is forever cleaning up after them. I took him with me to the crop in Abilene this last weekend and he stayed at the hotel that first night after he helped me unload. The next day he was with me for the day. He loaded back up and we drove to LaMesa. The truck had trash everywhere from him and I told him repeatedly there was a trashbag in the back. At least my brother here, he vacumms for me once a week or more, plays with Zen,and tends the dogs in and out. He doesn't make a mess except in the room where he is sleeping. He is tending house while we are gone cruising next week.

We pay over a thousand bucks a month for medical insurance and ever since I got sick we have been stuck with an additional $500 to $1000 in payments every month to pay for what the insurance doesn't cover. On Monday I picked up a monthly supply of a pill I have been on for a few months and it cost me $153 because it is not on the list of drugs the insurance company will cover. I went to the Dr.s on Tuesday and he told me to stop taking that pill and prescribed another which is not on the list either. I am staying on the old one until it is done and then will switch to the new one.......

Wow! And I thought my 350.00 a month for insurance was bad. But our deductable is high. We don't even have any doctor copays. We left that off to make it cheaper. We trade with my family doctor. John works on her tractor and she sees the family. That helps.

We are self employed so we have to foot our whole bill plus a large percentage of the health care costs of those who work for us. We also have high deductibles but only a $20 copay for the regular doctor and $45 copay for a specialist visit. I complain when the bills add up but I realize that I am lucky to have health insurance otherwise I would probably do without the meds and treatments I need.

We've been busy here. DH caught a 'little' cold right before spring break a few weeks ago--turned into bacterial pneumonia (VERY contagious) so I've been busy sanitizing everything in the house while trying to take care of him (alone, we don't have family nearby)--PLUS taking care of the house AND the twins (8.5 months now) PLUS Maya who had a touch of something but thank God recovered in like a day or so...poor kid didn't get a spring break at all, because then I got sick and went to my dr. and he said I had the beginnings of the pneumonia (DH had to wear a mask for a couple of days) PLUS an ear infection starting PLUS I am preparing for my triple surgery next Thursday (4-2) but...

Other than that, not much going on here, LOL. :-) Oh, I've been spring cleaning my hobby room...there's some boxes of stuff in there that literally hasn't been unpacked in a decade!! So I am having to force myself to be harsh and toss stuff that I really don't need which is VERY hard for a packrat like myself! :-)

Say a prayer for me! I need'em! :-)

Oh, and sorry about the pg cat! Is she wild? Is there any way to get her fixed after this litter so she won't get pg again? Hope you are able to find good homes for the babies.

And peace of mind prayers going up for you for everything to transition smoothly! You've got a lot on your plate there! :-)

Time for an early Thanksgiving! I mean, I love nature and all, but someone could seriously get hurt or even killed, dodging them into traffic, yikes!

Keep us updated on the turkey dilemma, that's just wild!

Anything that makes life easier for you is great! Glad you got it finished! There's several projects around our house I'd love to finish, but right now I don't have the time or $$$$$$ to do it. Maybe someday, though!

That's too funny, I've tried to 'bribe' Maya to do some chores around the house (above what she usually has to do) like folding towels from the laundry, or washing a few dishes--she'll refuse the money but say "I'll go watch the babies while YOU do the work, Mom!"

Silly kids. :0)

We thought I had IBS for years because of those same symptoms, but I didn't react to certain foods which was weird--turns out after my colonoscopy/endoscopy a few weeks ago I have ACID REFLUX which is weird because I don't have acidity (although I had a few bouts while I was pregnant with heartburn)--just terrible cramps and bathroom problems. Not fun AT ALL! :-(

Keeping you in my prayers that the right job shows up for just the right amount of money to help you out! {{{{Hugs}}}}

Sandy, I never had a fast food job and I never thought it was great by any means. lol. I did grow up on a farm though so I was always working around the house doing things...without an allowance. My parents must have had it easy. lol

OMGoodness Lynne. This story is hysterical. I remember being chased by a Tom once when I was little and it was scary. I hope you guys find a solution for them soon. I can't believe they haven't sped up the process knowing kids are being attacked.

Shannon, I am sorry you are having these problems. I have Crohns Disease and I can relate to all the grief from the insurance companies. I have cursed and screamed and pleaded with more insurance workers that any 24 year old (or anyone) should ever have to. I can't even begin to tell you how much money I have had to borrow to pay off my Dr. and hospital bills because they only cared about being paid instead of helping their patients. The healthcare system in the country is so screwed up, you don't even need to get me started. On the bright side, I am glad you guys had fun on your trip. Things will turn around - they always do. Sometimes it just takes much longer than what we think it should
