The "to-do" list was a favorite of mine. *copying down the list* The dress is fantastic - so beautiful!
Thanks I thought it could be 'no affiliation' but I coulnd't figure out the YY bit. I hated Seinfeld so no wonder that bit was totally untranslatable :-))
I'm another one who doesn't get why anyone thought that show was funny, so I didn't know either until I saw it here a few times and someone explained. ;-)

:-)) I used to watch my husband watching the show and wonder why he was laughing. I used to say to him that I couldn't bring myself to enjoy a show that featured 4 appallingly shallow people who I would do anything I could to avoid if I ever meet such characters in real life. He always said that was the whole point of the show but I still couldn't see it. I did like Seinfeld's monologues at the end of each show though.
I've often wondered whether I didn't like the show because the characters never actually DID anything or had any talents - no needlework, knitting, woodwork gardening etc. Just lots of coffee drinking and dwellings that had not a thing in them that I would choose to check out, and no bookshelves. I often judge houses and occupants by well used bookcases or book piles next to favourite chairs. That probably says more about me and my prejudices that it does about a comedy show. :-)
Ha, ha! Yes, that was our Halloween party this year--I was "Jill Sparrow", and Steve was, as my brother-in-law said, clearly one of my crew! LOL I shamed everyone into dressing up, except for three friends. It was a lot of fun.
Thanks for the compliments, Sharon. It was a good challenge, and the first couture-level sewing I'd done in a long time.
You are so right, although I never thought of it that way. But I also never got why people thought it was funny to watch a group of tremendously neurotic people obsess over nothing endlessly. My daughter also likes that Larry David show that I hate, for the same reason. It seems to celebrate the appallingly rude. Ugh.
OK, how about the hit show The Office? I have never seen the U.S. version, but Ricky Gervais puts me off and I could not watch the BBC version. I mean, what's funny???
(snip) I used to say to him that I couldn't bring myself to
I thought "The Office" was positively cringe making. However, but I did see one of his "The Extras" show that ahad me roaring with laughter, but it was only one of them - the rest left me cold.
you look gorgeous! (had to delurk for this!!). your dress was stunning....
