Ah, but as I explore I am discovering that the edit tools can allow you to make a separate pattern for each bit of the body if you so desire... What MOST of the customers want, however, is a garment that fits, hangs correctly on their odd-shaped torso, BUT looks ballanced and symetrical from the outside... :D

I'm being nannied through this by an expert! After-sales rocks so far, and the forum of willing helpers and fellow users is awesome. It's a steep learning curve, and I'm the least patient of people, but this is a lot of fun! :)

And I might add that Kate has gotten almost a perfect fit for herself--with just a few tweaks--the first time. I have worked with Wild Ginger (not now) for several of their workshops, and this is typical. The measuring process gets you really close, and then you make adjustments for personal posture, etc. Considering how vastly different we all are, the fit is impressive.

Well, you all know how I love my trousers! I'm playing with some £1 a metre sandwashed poly trouser/skirt weight stuff in swamp green, making a 6 gore skirt with 6 godets let into the seams... All the fitting adjustments I seem to need on the first trial run are from the waist up. If I can tweak the bum end for trousers with similar ease, I'll be playing with that next!
Oh, and Alan wants me to make him a shirt with horizontal access pockets. I have a pattern I used once before that fits well enough, but I can see me saving up for the bloke stuff! :)
