I have just won the Australian national AgArt competition. A garment/costume has to be made from things you would find on a farm and or produce. I made a showgirl costume. the two piece garment is made from the inner tube of a tractor tie. Twine has been used to sew it together and to fasten knickers. Tarp tape is used as a closing device on the bodice. Belt and arm details are made from washers linked with beer cans joiners and threaded onto rubber strips. Back detail of belt is made from part of a cable drum, irrigation risers and feathers from an old black rooster. Neckpiece is made from a bicycle tube, washers and rope. Headpiece made from an old colander, part from a boom spray , wheel trim, tractor inner tube, bicycle tube, feathers and wire. It is padded with horse hair. Decorations include, spray jets , washers, lentils, beans, rope, split links. Footwear is made inner tube from tractor and bike. I now go on to New Zealand. Totally different type of sewing!! It can be seen here
