Australian fabric

I have been oodling this off my LQS website since they put it up, about 4 weeks ago. DH left today for the week and I am on my own! I didn't buy a lot because it was a little more expensive then the regular fabric, but I got

1/3 yard of all except the rust (which isn't Australian), of which I purchased 2 yards. It may be enough to make this free-form jacket made with strips. After I get the fabric out of the drier I will have to lovingly iron it, then get out my pattern and check the yardage.

(Floating with a big smile on my face.)

OOPS, check my webshots under Australian Fabric if you want to see it. There are 9 different patterns. I got a piece of about 1/2 of their collection.

Well, so much for that ideal. I can't find the pattern! It must be sitting with my 12" square ruler which I use to square my blocks! ACK!

Oh well, back to working on my Dresden plate.

really nice fabs. whats this Dresden your working on? got a design/layout worked out yet? is it a specific pattern or one you're making up as you go along or what? how big are you 'blades'? got pix of any of it yet? i've got a few hundred wee 'made from scraps from here, there, everywhere' dresden blades about 2" long. must get those out again and work on them at night in between listening to tv and doing suduko and the daily cryptic crossword puzzle....and coughing and blowing my nose that is, argh. jeanne

I will take a picture of what I have and post it under a new subject called Dresden plates.

The fabrics are just beautiful. I'm such a sucker for ethnic prints, and your stash is really something to "oooooh" and "ahhhh" over. I love them! Is that what you're making the Dresden Plate from?

Nope, I bought the material for the DP about a year or so ago. At that time it was hard to find fabric with the gold in it, so I looked at all the LQS and then tried to find something plainer.....mostly whatever I liked.
