HAPPY DANCE!!! Ten Year WIP is DONE!!

I finished it! I began it so long ago, with only an idea and no pattern and really no idea of how to do things easily. Sheer Yankee-heritage/Texas-upbringing stubbornness made me continue to think I could finish it. Often I despaired. In between its conception and birth I did sooo many things! But it was always there, waiting for me. Friday I put in the last few stitches on the binding. And it's done!!! Done, I tell you! MWAHAHAHAHAHA!

Ragmop, you'll be proud of me--it's hand-quilted...

The white border has flying geese quilted in to fly opposite to the outer border. The white squares have alphabet letters in them, the capitals are right side up starting at one end, and the lowercase are rightside up starting from the other end. In the middle are 1 to 0 and two little hearts. Here you can see the capital L and S:

Thank you to a darling rctq-er who sent me the alphabet in Cooperfont. It was perfect.

All it needs now is the label! (And a good ride in the washer to remove the cat fur! Excuse me. "Tortie specialty fiber.")

Wheee! Monique in TX giddy from the thrill of completion

Five projects are vying for "next"--

--finishing a quilted oriental jacket

--the long-planned Blueberry Muffin quilt

--something to make with the Willowberry Winter Fabric I bought on Friday

--the Scheherezade quilt with rich prints and cotton lames and/or

--finally beginning the Veggie Baltimore Album quilt that's been lurking in my hindbrain for a loooong time...

Too many ideas, too little time!

Scheherezade, Blueberry Muffin, and Veggie Baltimore all intrigue me. Would your Blueberry Muffin be the theme/color scheme or Strawberry Shortcake's friend? Debra in VA See my quilts at
