OT-Happy Dance-It's done

Jan 24, 2006 7 Replies

Can you see me hopping around and throwing myself wildly. The knitted baby set is finished, done, over! It's been washed and dried and folded and is just sitting there waiting for me to take it for mailing to Colorado tomorrow.

I had to push myself to get it done since Kevin Robert, 4 lbs. 4 oz., made his arrival at 31 weeks and surprised everyone with his hurry to get here. He's doing well, but still in a neo natal unit and won't be home for at least another 2 weeks.

Everyone, please say hooray and just picture how happy I am to get back to my blackwork project.

Well done! Bring out the Koi lol

Thanks for the good thoughts.

As to blackwork, I'm a neophyte at it. I bought my pattern at my local LNS, but I have seen some nice looking patterns in the Nordic Needle catalog and in several places on line. I saw some nice patterns when I put "blackwork" in on google but I didn't keep any of the sites.

I know there are people here who can give you better advice than I can.

I wondered why the things on my shelves were rattling. It must be the earth tremor from the eastern side of the state, caused by you throwing yourself wildly!

Anyway, I am delighted to hear that the long, long project is finally finished, and on it's way to Kevin Robert!! Being a little guy (I think premies are cute, they still little longer), he will get more use out of the baby set than the average baby!!

I am sure he will do very well!! My daughter was six weeks early amd weighed 4lb 8oz. That was 43 years ago, and she is still doing well!!

Now it is time for you to sit down and do something you really enjoy!!
