Happy Dance :)

Carol Doak posted a row by row quilt over the course of the past few months. I didn't want to make mine very large, so I "downsized" each row by half. Yesterday I sewed the label on as the finishing touch. :) It's posted at , if you'd like to see it. This paper piecing is addictive, but I'm going to have to get back to some other projects pretty soon.

Gorgeous! I especially love the row of tulips, don't know why, but the eye just keeps going back to them. Roberta in D

Sandy, I love your Row by Row; as I also belong to Carol Doak's group I've been following your progress with eager anticipation on each step...well done !!!

Actually I'd like to join your happy dance...I am in the Round Robin (2 groups) on that group and the picture posted just now on the home page is my row added to Lena's center...imagine my surprise as I opened the group's homepage and saw my picture posted there...I went to bed smiling last night !!

It's turned out really lovely, Sandy. It's bright and welcoming. That piping is really 'fetching'. . In message , Sandy writes

Thank you, Flossy! I don't know what I'd do without a daily "fix" of quilt pics. Yes, I do know -- I'd go nuts! LOL!

Thanks, Alison! :)

Alison, I have to say that the picture posted of Lena's center with your row on it is my favorite of all of the RRs in the file! You did such a great job. Lena's center was pretty, but you've made it spectacular! The others in the group will be hard-pressed to follow your act. :)

Thanks, Roberta! :) I rather like those tulips myself. I sort of wish, though, that I'd done the hearts in pinks and/or lavenders, since I think the red is too strong for the rest of the rows. Still, I'm happy with it overall. :)

She has a great website, but the group is a Yahoo group. You can find it at -- where you'll immediately see Alison's gorgeous contribution to the RR some of the members are doing. :)

Thanks so much Sandy; I'm having fun with the RR so far, but it's early days yet...lol. I'm just finishing up my first round for the second group and hope to tackle some of my own projects soon.

I'm finding like you that pp is very addictive. I did a Mariner's compass on New Years day and followed that with some New York Beauty blocks some of which found their way into my 1 of my RR centers...and I haven't stopped since...sewing room floor is now covered with a litter of paper bits mixed into the ususal mix of thread and snippets of fabric...lol...sigh....
