Thanks, Irene. :) Let's see... the pinwheels are 1.5" square, the trees are 2.75" tall by either 1.5" or 3" wide (depending on which tree), the houses are 5" square (including the grass and sky), the tulips are 2.5" square, the large hearts are 2.5" square, the small hearts are 1.25" square, and the baskets are 3" square. Since I draft all of Carol's patterns into Quilt Pro for the other QP users in the group, I just told QP to size them all down by half to get my foundations. Then, when Carol told us how big to make the sashings for some of the rows and the borders for the quilt, I just cut those measurements in half, too (not counting the seam allowance, of course). It was surprisingly easy! :)

I haven't started yet, but I've pulled some fabrics.... ;) I'm

*supposed* to be doing a nap quilt for DGS#4 to take to nursery school next fall and also finishing up a quilt I started in Bethany Reynolds's class last month, but.... I just keep thinking about the fact that this mystery will be a small quilt, and that really appeals to me. ;)

Now Carole, you just don't have the right mind set here! ;) First of all, quilts don't necessarily have to match your decor; you can hang quilts to give a new and different accent to what you already have. Second, if you've seen my web site, you know that I couldn't possibly hang all of the quilts I've made unless I owned Chambord (a huge château in France) or something similar; I have a *small* house. Instead, I rotate my quilts, which is better for them, anyway, since it gives them a rest from the stress on the quilting (if there is any stress, that is ). Some of my quilts seem to suggest spring to me, so I hang them then, some suggest summer, etc. I have Christmas quilts, a Valentine-type quilt, and so on.

And yours is beautiful, Carole! I like your border choice -- my "sky" border fabric is so pale as to appear white. Oh well.

I don't blame you!

TerriLee, just about every airline has flights to LV. ;) You could talk your DH into a vacation, couldn't you? He could do the LV-tourist thing, and you and I could have some quilty fun for a day.

Well, the quilts that I have hanging on my walls are up there "really good" and would be a royal pain to take down and change around. I'm not very good at that sort of thing! However I will surely find some place to put the mystery quilt. With the birdhouses in the border, it will probably work best as a spring/summer kind of quilt.

Thanks to the other RCTQers who have had nice things to say about my Home Sweet Home quilt. I think the credit really goes to Carol Doak!!!! I tried to personalize mine, with cats in the house doors and windows, and with a nature border that matches the nature that's around my actual house.

Now I'm working on the March blocks for RCTQ. What tiny little pieces! It will be a miracle if my pieced block actually ends up measuring 12 1/2 inches!! I'm anxious to finish those blocks, though, because I want to put them together into a quilt for my mom for Mother's Day.

Thanks again, Taria. I do like to finish quilts (maybe it's inbred in the name? ), though I have to admit that I do have a few that are waiting.... :)

I love the cats waiting in the doorways! Mine waits at the dining room window.

Thanks! Any quilt called "Home Sweet Home" that was supposed to represent my home had to have a cat or two or three! :)

Sandy HOW WONDERFUL. I belong to her yahoo group also but have not even started mine yet. Until we can get moved I am going to back off of PPing. The last time I tried, I lost a bunch of pieces because I have to move things around so much. Hopefully after school gets out places will start opening up. We do have a couple to check out. I guess when we find the one God has for us we will have our home.

Anyhow, you keep up the good work. It will make a wonderful wallhanging. What % did you use?

Thanks, Kathy! :) I made everything half size -- it's so easy to do in Quilt Pro -- though it would be just as easy in EQ6.
