Sweetgum bowl

My sweetgum bowls have just started to be dry. Here is a picture of one in case you haven't seen this kind of wood.

This type of wood I use Lee Valley tung oil sealer to bring out the grain. Next day I use Crystal Coat(shellac and wax). After I get the bottom finished I will buff the entire bowl with Hut light. My dedicated buffer is an old HF lathe that I started with.

I like just the tung oil sealer and a coat of pure tung oil, but all my customers expect a shiny surface.
