Re: Advice on cooking Red Velvet Cake

I'm planning on trying a Red Velvet Cake recipe I picked up, but my

>(fan forced) oven can only reach 250 degrees C, and the recipe I have

Your oven will be fine. The recipe means 350 F.

A quick calculation from Deg F to Deg Celsius (C = (5/9)*(F-32) yields about 176C.

(350C is about 650F, and I've not seen a home oven that gets that hot, except maybe a self-clean cycle).)

Are you sure that wouldn't be 350 degrees *farenheit* for the recipe? That is a reasonable cooking temp and time for a cake. 350 degrees celsius is not.
